Dining Experience at IPPUDO NYC

Last week, my mom and I went to IPPUDO, a Japanese ramen restaurant, in East Village NYC. Overall, it was a great experience. We were carrying a small suitcase because we had a train to catch at NY Penn Station later that afternoon. When we walked in, the host immediately came up to us and said "Welcome" in Japanese, and then he asked if it is ok to store our suitcase in the closet they provide so it won't interfere our and others' dining experience.

The restaurant is really trendy. The kitchen is completely open and on display, and all the waiters seem can speak both English and Japanese. The ramen was great. Since I've been to Japan a couple of times, I thought the ramen at IPPUDO tasted really authentic.

The customer service was special since they will say some basic words like "Welcome" "Thank you" "Please enjoy"... in both languages. I thought it was very interesting because I actually felt like I was in Japan. Overall, the experience was great.
The entrance of the restaurant. It's hard to find if you don't pay close attention.
We sat in a bar setting, so you get to see other strangers eat their food too...
The menu is in both Japanese and English.

These are what I ordered.
